Croa

In the debut album by Flor de Mururé, a transmasculine artist from the Amazon, afro-brazilian spirituality and gender identity intertwine in a dialogue of vibrant colors and symbolic images. Titled Croa, which means “head”, “north” and “trodden path”, the album explores the deep connection between the material and spiritual world, weaving references from Candomblé and Umbanda with Flor’s personal trajectory.

Through the photographic work of the artist and creative director Rafaela Kennedy, the idea was to translate Flor’s paths through colors, tones and icons that referred to the history of the album and its religious connections, almost as if they determined points in the trajectory and indicated the path that Flor continues during production, which is still a story told.
